Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)-Armed men attacked the residence of the second in command of Darkenley district in the Somali capital Mogadishu; the aggressors also set a blaze to the house of the deputy police commander of Darkenley district as well.

The actual time of the event was mid last night when the family members of the deputy police chief were all in soundless sleeping.

After the house was attacked with grenades, it was followed by heavy crossfire of different sorts weapons including rocket propel grenades and other automatic machine guns between the sentries of the house and the attackers, who eventually set fire the domicile of the deputy police commander of Darkenley district.

Somali government police soldiers were deployed this morning where the attack happened and have carried out wide search operation in the neighborhood.

In the operation the policemen arrested several people including religious and other ordinary people.

In the last few days the situation of Darkenley district was this day turning from bad to worse, because of the frequent attacks between government soldiers and their antagonists.

It was only dusk yesterday when men armed with pistols and grenades attacked government soldiers in tour of duty at Darkenley district.
